Anna Scholz: Model Turned Fashion Designer? That's Novel...Or Is It?
For a model, a career can be short lived and many are starting to maximize their position within the industry by starting their own fashion labels. Names like Elle Macpherson and Liz Hurley spring to mind and now Claudia Schiffer has been rumored to follow suit with her own baby range. But this is nothing new. In fact one model realized the potential years ago, Anna Scholz.
Anna's talent was spotted by a model agency scout and she became a successful plus size model in Germany. When she first started, Anna thought she may finally be able to wear and model designer clothes, something which had so far been missing.
By age 13, Anna was over 6ft tall, size 16 and had grown up with designer tastes, but could not find anything suitable to wear. The only option was men's clothes, so she was desperate to experience what all the other slimmer girls wore.
Surely now that she was a model she would be able to enjoy designer clothes?
